Spring into Safety

Stop by the Oval on Tuesday, April 2, from 11:30 a.m.–1p.m. The university will be giving away free helmets and offering e-scooter promotions as part of its educational Share the Road initiative. The Ohio State University Police Division will conduct educational enforcement for traffic violations in high-traffic campus areas. If you have questions about the rules of the road, ask an officer. President's Prize

Ohio State students have powerful ideas for making our world a better place and the ambition to transform ideas into action. The President’s Prize is the highest recognition Ohio State bestows on undergraduate students committed to social change, providing two graduating seniors the crucial connections and financial support they need to advance innovative ideas for change in their first year after graduation. Student Life’s Career Counseling and Support Services team has been nominated for the Wayne Carlson Friend of ACADAOS Award for 2019. The Friend of ACADAOS Award is presented by the Academic Advising Association of Ohio State to an individual or group of individuals who, though not advisors themselves, share the same common goals as the advising community and routinely go above and beyond the call in supporting the group’s mission.

Faces of Resilience with an outline of a face


The Faces of Resilience event is celebrating 10 years of fundraising for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and the STAR Program. On Wednesday, April 24, special guests Darrell Hammond from Saturday Night Live and director Michelle Esrick will showcase “Cracked Up,” a documentary about the actor’s personal struggles with trauma and mental health. The trailer can be seen online. Tickets for the event at the Wexner Center for the Arts can be purchased at Tickets are $10 for the public or $5 with a student ID. A Q&A session with Hammond and Esrick will follow the film.

Be Heard-for 2019 Campus Climate Survey

Climate Survey

Ohio State is conducting a climate survey of students. Faculty and staff are encouraged to be supportive of students completing the survey. Information collected will allow the university to inform and further enhance Buckeyes ACT, Ohio State’s comprehensive plan to address sexual misconduct. The survey is available through April 12. Butterflies and flowers


Student Life’s Student Advocacy Center and Parent and Family Relations will be hosting the annual student memorial service on Tuesday, April 9.  The service will take place at 7 p.m. in the Ballroom at The Fawcett Center. We will honor the lives of all students who passed away during this school year and will reflect on the loss to our Ohio State community. Everyone is welcome to attend. Volunteers are needed for spring Commencement and Rehearsal. Student Life always plays a crucial role in helping graduates, their families and guests. 11,800 grads and 50,000 attendees are expected this year. Help is needed for Rehearsal on Friday, May 3, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and on Commencement Day, Sunday, May 5, from 10:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please reply to Daren by Friday, April 19, at 5 p.m.
