And for Pelotonia Inspiration….

Student Life’s Thyrone Henderson loves to ride but can’t commit to Pelotonia weekend, so he’s a virtual rider. Thyrone is pledging $1 for every training mile he rides in the summer. He says he exceeds his goal every year. He posts his current millage on his profile page so donors can keep up with his progress.

Don’t Assume You’re Immune

Now is the time to get up to date on your vaccinations. Talk to your primary care provider this summer and make sure you have all the recommended immunizations to stay healthy — particularly the MMR for mumps, measles and rubella. If you are not sure or cannot determine your vaccination status, the best action to offset illnesses and take charge of your health is to get another vaccination. For details, including a list of recommended vaccines or to determine if you have a high risk for infection, visit

Career Counseling and Support Services name change on a "hello my name is" badge

Name Change

Two Student Life departments are getting new names:

To better clarify the department’s services and offerings, “Career Connection” will become “Career Counseling and Support Services.” This reflects their role: through career counseling, outreach and workshops, helping students clarify goals, explore personal concerns, make decisions and develop an individualized career plan. Additionally, the change will better distinguish their role from Buckeye Careers, which is the central university hub for “connecting” students with job opportunities. You can find Student Life’s Career Counseling and Support Services on the web at

In addition, to streamline their name, “Office of Disability Services” will become “Disability Services.”
